REPARATIONS RECIPIENTS
WHERE ARE THE REPARATIONS GOING?
An important aspect of paying reparations is that white people give up control of the dollars they are returning. In 2020, I was a part of two general church bodies with ethnic organizations for those of African descent, those were obvious ways to return agency to Black people. Since this campaign also reached some white people who wish to avoid supporting religious organizations, an option was available to support a secular organization. These three groups are linked at the bottom of the page.
In 2021, we are removing the agency of choice for pledgers. Reparations will be divided equally among four organizations working for rights, reparations, and healing – two for Black people, and two for Indigenous people.
Detailed 2021 Links coming soon.
See the homepage for immediate links to the four organizations.
